ARLD Day 2026 has ended
Friday April 24, 2026 2:30pm - 3:20pm CDT
Zines are a powerful tool for teaching critical information literacy concepts such as information access and authority, to connect students to library resources, and even as an assignment alternative to research projects. Whether you use them as a teaching tool, a way to connect with students, manage your own zine library, or just want to learn more, join us for an informal chat about working with zines in libraries while creating one yourself. Facilitators will share how-to handouts and supplies for a brief guided zine-making activity and group conversation. Bringing your own zines to swap with participants is encouraged! Those who are curious and new to making zines are also welcome to join.
